Nevada inmate, 69, dies in conservation camp

An inmate at Three Lakes Valley Conservation Camp in Indian Springs has died, the Nevada Department of Corrections said Monday.

John Silva, 69, was found unresponsive in his bed, the department said in a news release. Medical staff attempted lifesaving measures, but Silva was pronounced dead at the scene, the department said.

Silva was committed from Clark County on June 20, 2013, and was serving two to 20 years for driving under the influence, the release said.
