Police investigate body in burned vehicle

Las Vegas police were investigating the discovery of a body inside a burned vehicle southwest of Laughlin early Sunday.

An officer found the burning vehicle about 6 a.m. after noticing smoke on Pipeline Road, about three miles west of Needles Highway, officer Marcus Martin said.

After firefighters put out the blaze, authorities found a body in the driver's seat, he said.

Police and county fire investigators were trying to determine what started the fire and how the person died, he said.
