Police seek man in connection with sexual assault

Las Vegas police asked for the public’s help identifying a man they believe sexually assaulted a woman at gunpoint and stole her car overnight.

Police said a woman was driving near the intersection of Durango Drive and the 215 Beltway when a man confronted her at gunpoint, assaulted her and took her vehicle about 2:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Police released surveillance footage of a man they think might be responsible. He is about 22 years of age, stands 6 feet tall and weighs about 160 pounds. In the footage he has dark hair and was last seen wearing a red shirt and black pants, police said. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
