Southern Nevada task force assists in 300 rescues in Colorado

A day after arriving in Colorado, Nevada Task Force 1, along with a Missouri task force and a the Colorado National Guard, rescued about 300 people from the flooded area.

On Tuesday, 49 members of the team performed search and rescue operations and air operations in the area surrounding Estes Park, Colo., according to NV-TF1 program manager Mario Trevino.

Weather improvements in the area are expected to help rescue efforts, but there is still no word on how long the team will be deployed, Trevino said.
