Suspect arrested in August homicide

A 25-year-old was arrested Monday in connection to an August shooting at an apartment complex.

Tony Richardson shot Stacey Randolph, 45, on Aug. 11 in the back alley of an apartment building on J Street near Owens Avenue, according to his arrest report.

As Las Vegas police were responding to an call about an argument between the two men, the dispatcher heard shots.

Six shots were recorded on the call, according to the report

Several witnesses said Randolph beat up “Tone” Richardson. Richardson then went inside his girlfriend’s apartment, retrieved a gun and shot Randolph, the report said.
Police believe Richardson hid inside the apartment until officers left the area.
Police found Randolph with multiple gunshot wounds behind the apartment complex near the trash bins.

His cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and the manner was deemed a homicide, according to the Clark County coroner’s office.
