Driver dies after crashing car into wall


A fatal car crash on the northeast side of the valley has restricted traffic near Lamb and Lake Mead boulevards.

Police received a 911 call just after 7 a.m. that a car had crashed into a brick wall on Lamb Boulevard just south of Lake Mead Boulevard.

The driver was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, said a police spokeswoman.

The one northbound lane on Lamb Boulevard was closed as of 8:30 a.m.
