Two killed in SUV-school bus crash


Two 22-year-old men traveling in a sport utility vehicle were killed in a collision with a school bus Wednesday.

The names of the deceased men, who were in a 2004 Lincoln Aviator, were not released by authorities.

Las Vegas police said the collision happened just before noon on Decatur Boulevard between Lone Mountain Road and La Madre Way in the northwest valley. Police said the Aviator was traveling north on Decatur when it crossed the center of the roadway and struck the bus that was headed south.

Police said bus driver Cedric Doolittle, 40, of Las Vegas, sustained moderate injuries. Bus passenger Betty Price, 63, of Las Vegas, also sustained moderate injuries.

The driver of the SUV died at University Medical Center, said police spokesman Jacinto Rivera. The SUV passenger died at the scene.
