A Valentine’s Day forecast to melt your heart … and maybe more

Don’t leave your chocolates and roses in the car this Valentine’s Day, Las Vegas will be seeing warmer-than-usual weather over the weekend.

With a high of 79 degrees forecast for Friday, a spokesman for the National Weather Service said it’s very possible the record high of 78 for that day will be broken. Saturday and Sunday should have highs of 77 and 76 degrees.

The warm weather is expected to last through Presidents’ Day and into the middle of next week, according to the weather service. Even when they cool down, the spokesman said, temperatures will be at or above normal for the rest of the week.
