SUMMERHILL, MILTON
MILTON SUMMERHILL Milton (Buddy) Summerhill, 89, went to be with the Lord, March 2, 2009. Buddy was born in 1919, one of seven children of Henry and Irene Summerhill of Little Rock, Ark. Buddy proudly served his country in World War II in Australia. In 1956, Buddy moved his young family from Little Rock to Las Vegas, to accept a position as an airplane mechanic at Nellis Air Force Base, where he retired. Buddy's wife, Jimolee; his twin sister and his other siblings have preceded him in death. Buddy is survived by his wife, Lila, who he married in 2001. He is also survived by his children, Judy Witt and Kelley Summerhill; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Buddy was an active member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church. He devoted his whole life to serving the Lord and others. He gave tirelessly of his time and talents to his church. He enjoyed morning walks, his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Amazing Grace Baptist Church. Visiting hours will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 5. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 6, both at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
