Here are the presidential candidates that spent the most on food in 2015

Presidential hopefuls spend a lot of money campaigning for office — Donald Trump has spent $5.6 million on his campaign so far, according to the Washington Post — and they spend a lot on food and beverages, too. 

Based on two different looks into campaign spending in 2015, in addition to marketing and advertising costs, some of the 2016 presidential candidates tend to spare no expense when it comes to caffeine and pizza. 

According to Boston.com, most of the presidential candidates really love Dunkin' Donuts.

After analyzing recent campaign finance reports filed with the Federal Election Commission, here are the five candidates that shelled out the most money on coffee:

  1. In 2015, Hillary Clinton's campaign visited Dunkin' 15 times and spent $1,866. However, her campaign didn't spend a penny at Starbucks.
  2. Marco Rubio stopped at Dunkin' 13 times and spent $235. Rubio's campaign went to Starbucks 51 times and spent $386.
  3. Jeb Bush also visited Dunkin' 15 times throughout 2015, but only spent $402 at the donut chain. His campaign spent about $150 at Starbucks.
  4. Bernie Sanders spent $238 over two visits to Dunkin'. He didn't spend any money at Starbucks.
  5. Ben Carson went to Dunkin' three times and spent $170. The Carson camp expensed about $60 at Starbucks.

Overall, John Kasich proved to spend the least on coffee, as he didn't spend a single dollar at Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts. 

Although not all of the candidates are coffee connoisseurs, almost every campaign appreciated a good slice of pizza in 2015, according to Gawker. By "almost," we mean Carly Fiorina — who announced on Wendesday she would suspend her campaign — spent $0 on pizza.

Hillary Clinton's campaign spent the most on pizza by far, according to Gawker.
