North Las Vegas to name new city clerk
The lean staff of North Las Vegas is adding a new city clerk.
Catherine Raynor will begin work on Monday. “Ms. Raynor has decades of professional experience in both military and civilian positions,” the city wrote in a statement.
Raynor also holds clerk certifications has 12 years of experience performing clerk duties, according to the statement. Raynor will be paid $94,000 a year.
After the city’s former clerk retired in January, the city’s choice for interim clerk surprised some at city hall because they lacked clerk experience. The city clerk position, which handles elections and oversees city records, reports to and is appointed by the city manager.
