Loft living comes to Summerlin

Owners of units at C2 Lofts in Summerlin will enjoy a 36-acre live, work and play environment when the project is finished, according to the builder. More than 20 of the first buyers have already moved into their lofts in the first completed building.

Built by the Christopher Company, C2 Lofts is located within Summerlin Centre, off West Charleston Boulevard, just west of Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway. The development is about one mile from the new Red Rock Casino & Spa and just a short drive or bike ride from the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

Priced from the mid-$300,000s to more than $1 million, more than a dozen one-, two- and three-story designs are available, ranging from 900 to 3,300 square feet. When complete, C2 Lofts will consist of about 800 units.

Loft living consultants Sommer Jandula and Fran Smock said C2 Lofts offers genuine loft living, a lifestyle new to Las Vegas-area home buyers.

"Residents of C2 Lofts in Summerlin will have a lifestyle unlike any other in Las Vegas," Jandula said. "On-site amenities that would generally be reserved for a five-star resort will be within a short stroll of their doorsteps, including a planned, three-story lifestyle center with a heated swimming pool, spa, treatment rooms, fitness center and concierge services. Additionally, our planned on-site retail shops will give residents the convenience of being able to walk downstairs for a cup of coffee, pick up their dry cleaning or enjoy lunch with a neighbor.

"One very interesting feature planned for C2 Lofts in Summerlin is our 'dog park,' which will provide a place for residents to take their pooches out for exercise and to meet new canine friends as well," Jandula said.

Many of the lofts will offer mountain or city views, according to the Christopher Company, builder of C2 Lofts.

Selected live/work designs will enable a buyer to own a specialty shop on the lower floor of his or her loft. All residents will have personal parking spaces, as well as private storage space inside a gated underground parking area.

Smock said more than 20 of the first buyers moved into their lofts a few months ago

"Our first loft building sets the tone perfectly for the exciting future development planned for C2 Lofts," Smock said. "This will be a complete living environment, offering a comprehensive blend of residential, recreational and retail, within what is destined to become the urban center of Summerlin."

The first completed building at C2 Lofts in Summerlin provides an open-air courtyard with a water feature, bamboo garden and landscaping throughout the interior courtyard. For small or large gatherings, residents have use of a furnished roof garden that features a fire pit, fireplace, wet bar and panoramic views of the Las Vegas skyline.

C2 Lofts in Summerlin features minimalist styling highlighted by exposed ductwork and ceiling heights that range from 10 to 12 feet in the single-story and up to 20 to 22 feet in the two- and three-story lofts.

Each of the lofts includes a long list of included amenities such as stainless-steel appliances, upgraded cabinetry, granite countertops, walk-in closets in owner's suite with closet organizer, Zodiaq countertop in the powder room, Kohler plumbing fixtures, security systems and more. Wi-fi access is available throughout the common areas.

Buyers at C2 Lofts also have opportunities to customize with such features as fireplaces, brick wall treatments and various flooring and countertop options. Each buyer receives consultation with a C2 Lofts Design Center professional.

The same professionals at the Christopher Company who oversee operations for Christopher Homes, a longtime Southern Nevada builder, are behind the design and construction of C2 Lofts.

During the current phase of sales, buyers can take advantage of a number of specials being offered on selected lofts, including a few that are available for immediate move-in, according to the builder.

To visit C2 Lofts, take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, to the W. Charleston Boulevard exit and go west about a half mile. Turn left and follow signs to the sales center models.
