Pardee Homes will introduce at least four new neighborhoods in 2014, starting with Horizon Terrace, now under development on an elevated site overlooking the Las Vegas Valley.
Located in Henderson just south of the Las Vegas Beltway at Horizon Ridge Parkway and Gibson Road, Horizon Terrace is scheduled to open in early March.
“Pardee is starting the new year in a big way,” said Rob Tuvell, Pardee Homes regional sales manager. “Horizon Terrace is a brand-new collection of large two-story homes on large lots in a location that takes living to a higher level.”
Horizon Terrace homes celebrate Southern Nevada-style outdoor living with options of covered patios and outdoor rooms, in addition to master-suite decks that take advantage of the neighborhood’s vantage point on the southern rim of the valley.
With up to 3,648 square feet of living space, Horizon Terrace will offer Pardee’s new GenSmart Suite option for multigenerational living in private, separate areas under one roof.
Horizon Terrance also features Pardee’s award-winning LivingSmart program for greener living with more than 30 standard and optional features that boost energy efficiency, save water, improve indoor air quality and encourage the use of sustainable resources, according to company officials.
Pardee also will introduce Summerglen in southwest Las Vegas in May and two neighborhoods in the master-planned Inspirada community in June.
Pardee is helping many families overcome obstacles to buying a new home. Offered exclusively for Pardee homebuyers, Smart Move Advantage, an independent company, will rent a qualified buyer’s existing home for as long as three years, allowing them to take advantage of one of the best buyer’s market in decades, Tuvell said.
“The Smart Move Advantage program represents one of several steps Pardee Homes has taken to boost buyer confidence and smooth the path to new-home ownership,” Tuvell said.
Pardee Homes maintains a strong presence in Southern Nevada, covering the Las Vegas Valley with six single-family new-home neighborhoods, including Durango Ranch and Durango Trail in southwest Las Vegas; LivingSmart Eldorado Ridge and LivingSmart Eldorado Heights; Sandstone, across from Eldorado; and LivingSmart Providence in northwest LasVegas.
“Pardee will celebrate 63 years of building homes in Las Vegas in 2014, longer than any other homebuilder,” said Klif Andrews, Pardee Southern Nevada division president.
An industry leader in Southern Nevada since 1952, Pardee has built homes for more than 40,000 families in nearly 150 neighborhoods and more than 10 master-planned communities, starting with Spring Valley, the first master-planned community in Las Vegas.
“From the very beginning Pardee has kept its commitment to create communities where housing works in concert with other critical elements, including parks and schools,” Andrews said. “As a result, the company has been recognized as a pioneer in master planning for quality of life.”
Pardee is also recognized as a national leader in environmentally responsible development, earning national, state and local awards for building energy-efficient homes that save nearly 23,000 tons of greenhouse gases each year.
In addition, Pardee also is known for helping its less-fortunate neighbors.
The Nevada Governor’s Points of Light Award was given to Pardee for the million-dollar renovation of St. Jude’s Ranch for Children in partnership with HomeAid Southern Nevada. Pardee is a strong supporter of The Shade Tree Shelter for homeless women, children and their pets, and Clark County Public Education Foundation.
Pardee creates new standards of living in new neighborhoods, Andrews said.
According to Andrews, the company’s success can be directly attributed to the legacy of its founders, George Pardee and sons George Jr., J. Douglas and Hoyt.
“It’s a legacy we call the good-neighbor policy, and it’s pretty simple,” Andrews said. “It means creating quality homes and communities. It means treating buyers as if they were our neighbors, because they are.”
