Shea Homes at Ardiente, an age-qualified, resort-style community in North Las Vegas, is able to offer its residents its SheaXero — No Electric Bill Homes.

New Shea Homes at Ardiente resident, Janet Selover, said SheaXero was a major factor in her decision to move to Ardiente.

“My friend kept mentioning an active-adult community in North Las Vegas, and she said, ‘You really need to check out these no-electric homes.’ So, I finally decided to see for myself. Not only did I fall in love with the homes and the community, but the people were amazing. When I heard about the SheaXero program, I was astonished that it came with the home. Before, I was paying roughly $450 each month during the summer to cool my home. Knowing that my electric bill will be dropped to almost zero was a no-brainer for me.”

SheaXero uses an innovative blend of energy-efficient features and solar power to reduce and sometimes eliminate monthly electric bills and save homeowners thousands of dollars a year, company officials said. With its 14 energy-saving features, including Whirlpool Energy Star appliances, Trane energy-efficient heating and cooling systems, low-e vinyl windows and blown-in insulation, SheaXero frees homeowners from the worry and unpredictability of escalating energy costs.

Ardiente isn’t charging extra for its solar system, according to company officials.

In addition, Ardiente is also offering a short window for homebuyers to purchase a designer SheaXero home before the end of the year, including:

St.Tropez — The 1,437 square-foot St. Tropez opens its doors to a foyer that provides views to the great room, dining area and kitchen with a radius island. This home, with two bedrooms and two baths has a guest wing for privacy and a master suite complete with a walk-in closet.

Florence — With 1,661 square feet of flexible living space and a great room, homeowners have every reason to host any type of gathering.

The Florence has an open kitchen connected to the great room and a dining nook. For overnight guests, the guest bedroom is situated away from the master at the front of the house to allow for privacy.

At the hub of the gated community is a private 20,000-square-foot club featuring two resort-style pools, fitness center, group exercise studio and access to miles of walking trails.
