Tuscan Cliffs offers ‘splashy’ homes

Tuscan Cliffs' four model homes feature pools and spas, waterfalls and custom-designed water features.

"Water features are an important element of the homes at Tuscan Cliffs," said sales agent Rob Evon. "They are a natural element like fire and stone but bring a unique calming effect to any area they are placed in."

Water features shown in the model homes include a pool and spa with a rain shower in the Villa de Franchesca. At this home, the pool and spa can be viewed from both the covered patio and a cabana. The spa includes a stepped waterfall as well as stone steps leading directly into the main pool.

"The rain shower, located between the covered patio and pool, creates an interesting design look that can be seen from several rooms in the home," Evon said.

In the Villa de Gabriella model, natural stone is used to surround the pool and spa and faux stone boulders complete the look.

"This is one of our most popular water features," Evon said. "There is a wading pool at one end, a lagoon near the middle and a beautiful backdrop for the spa at the far end."

The natural stone look is continued with a slide above a grotto underwater enclave near the spa. The front courtyard also has a water feature with a sheer wall.

In the Villa de Giovanni, the spa takes center stage directly outside of the family room. "This is a very modern design, with a square spa and an elongated pool with sharp angles," Evon said. "Three staggered sheer-descent waterfalls with the same modern flair add to the striking effect of this feature."

Known for its indoor-outdoor living philosophy, Tuscan Cliffs uses water features in its front and interior courtyards. The Villa de Giovanni's front courtyard showcases sheer descent waterfalls on either side of an outdoor fireplace. The front courtyard of the Villa de Gabriella uses a sheer descent water element alone.

The semi-custom homes range in size from 4,328 to 6,001 square feet. More than 50 configurations are available among the four base models. Each offers a master suite with a separate retreat, a rear patio, central courtyard and common areas.

Home sites measure at least one-quarter acre. Premium lots, including some with views of the valley and others that are oversized, are available, according to Evon.

Some options include home theater systems, elevators, wine cellars and grottos, custom ceiling treatments, swimming pools, outdoor fireplaces and water features.

In addition, each residence qualifies as an Energy Star home.

Base prices start at just over $1 million.

Residents will receive a one-year social membership to the Southern Highlands Golf Club, upon application approval, according to Evon. The club includes a social calendar, spa, resort-style swimming pool and other facilities.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to the St. Rose Parkway exit and go west. Drive north on Southern Highlands Parkway and proceed to Stonewater Lane, then turn left and follow the signs. Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Monday when it opens at 1 p.m. The sales office phone number is 228-8559 or visit pacificsouthwest.com.
