Commenting Policy

The comment sections contain thoughts and opinions from users and in no way represent the views of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

This public platform is intended to provide a forum for users of to share ideas, express thoughtful opinions and carry the conversation beyond the article.

Comments may be monitored for inappropriate content, but the website is under no obligation to do so. Users who comment are solely responsible under the Communications Decency Act for comments posted on The Las Vegas Review-Journal is not liable for messages from third parties.

IP and email addresses of persons who post are not treated as confidential records and will be disclosed in response to valid legal process. 

Users must follow these guidelines when posting a comment:

  •     No potentially libelous statements or damaging innuendo.
  •     No obscene, explicit, sexist, bigoted or racist language.
  •     No copyrighted materials of any sort without the express permission of the copyright holder.
  •     No personal attacks, insults or threats.
  •     Don't use another person's real name to disguise your identity.
  •     No comments unrelated to the story.
  •     No spam.


Users are encouraged to use the moderation tools to help maintain civility and keep discussions on topic.
