3 Las Vegas 51s players named PCL All-Stars

When the PCL All-Stars take the field for the Triple-A All-Star Game July 13, Las Vegas fans will see three familiar faces.

Third baseman T.J. Rivera, outfielder Travis Taijeron and right-handed pitcher Gabriel Ynoa were all named to the PCL roster, the league announced today. The three selections were tied for a league-high.

Rivera is second in the PCL with a .361 average to go along with a .400 on-base percentage and .521 slugging percentage. Taijeron leads the league with 30 double and boasts a slash line of .306/.389/.562 with a team-leading 12 home runs and 66 RBIs. Ynoa’s nine wins and 100 1/3 innings pace the PCL.

Players were either elected to the game based off a vote of managers, general managers, media and online fan voting or selected by the PCL office. All three 51s were elected, which is the most of any team.

The PCL team will be guided by 51s manager Wally Backman. It will broadcast at 4 p.m. July 13 on MLB Network and streamed at MiLB.TV.
