51s fall to Grizzlies on homer

The 51s lost to the Fresno Grizzlies 5-3 on an Ivan Ochoa two-run homer in the ninth inning Monday in Fresno, Calif.

William Bergolla hit a one-out double off Las Vegas reliever Matt White (0-2) in the bottom of the ninth. Ochoa, who already had a two-run blast in the third inning, then stepped in against White and ended the game with a homer to left field.

The 51s had rallied from a 3-0 deficit with three runs in the fourth inning. Mitch Jones opened the inning with a ground-rule double, and Delwyn Young followed with a single.

Sergio Garcia then singled to score Jones, and one out later, Ken Huckaby hit a two-run double.

Huckaby, Young and Jones each went 2-for-4.

Las Vegas (13-17), which opens a homestand today against Oklahoma, has lost nine of its last 11.
