■ HIGHLIGHTS: At Cashman Field, Stefen Romero went 4-for-5 with two homers, a double, four RBIs and four runs for the Rainiers (40-27), who rode two four-run innings to their eighth win in 11 meetings with the 51s (34-30). … Jason Jaramillo also went 4-for-5, drove in a run and scored twice for Pacific Coast League-leading Tacoma. … Romero singled in the Rainiers’ four-run second inning and had an RBI double in their four-run fifth before belting a two-run homer in the sixth and a solo shot in the ninth. … Wilmer Flores drilled a two-run double among his two hits, and Ike Davis, Mike Baxter, Francisco Pena and Brandon Hicks also had two hits apiece for Las Vegas. … D.J. Mitchell turned in his worst outing of the season for the 51s, allowing seven runs on seven hits in four innings, with four strikeouts, five walks and four wild pitches. … Greg Peavey gave up two runs on three hits in one inning for Las Vegas and Armando Rodriguez allowed three runs on four hits, including a homer, in four innings. … Rich Poythress led off the fifth with a double, then took third and scored on wild pitches by Mitchell. … Davis drilled a leadoff double to left field in the second inning for his first hit for the 51s and singled in the fifth. … Zack Wheeler, the Mets’ top pitching prospect, is expected to make his final start for the 51s tonight before he makes his major league debut for New York on Tuesday in Atlanta.
