Doctor clears Tyson to resume training | |

The Mike Tyson-Evander Holyfield fight is back on track. Tyson's doctor has given the heavyweight fighter clearance to resume contact tr aining in preparation for his June 28 rematch against Holyfield at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas. The rematch originally was scheduled for May 3, but was postponed when Tyson re opened a cut over his left eye originally sustained in his upset loss to Holyfield. John Horne, Tyson's co-manager, announced Monday that Tyson received clearance from Dr. Barry Markman to resume training. At the time of the postponement, Marc Ratner, head of the Nevada Athletic Commi ssion, said he was told the cut had reopened and the former champion had stitches. Next Story | |
