3 Eblouissante - Sister of Zanyatta figures to be a very short price on return; this is meant to be a confidence builder.

4 Macha - If anyone can be a mini-giant killer, why not Jerry Hollendorfer; just sit a trip and try to gain some late.

Long Shot - 1 Melanistic

Race 3 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 30 feet), Purse $25,000, Claiming $25,000, 4-year-olds and up

1 Quiet Force - Taking a huge class drop racing first time for a price tag; has the back class, let’s see how tight he is today.

6 Boss of Me - Tepid chalk just graduated; facing winners for the first time, this is the biggest class rise in racing.

Long Shot - 8 Copper Bay

Race 4 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Claiming $16,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up

6 Holiday N Newport - Like the cut back in distance from route to sprint; should show signs of life in the late stages.

2 Pebble Beach Baby - Sliding down the claiming ladder to this career low class; figures to sit a trip and come running late.

4 Promiscuoussuances - Speedball will enjoy the turf rail out 30 feet; has had a lot of success down the hillside turf course.

5 Tap It Rich - Head case returns after some schooling by Bob Baffert; adds blinkers on today and he is the “other” Baffert.

1 Bayern - Logical chalk off a striking debut win; Bob Baffert has an uncoupled entry so caveat emptor.

Long Shot -3 Brother Soldier

Race 8 - 7 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, 3-year-olds

7 Closet E - Takes a huge class drop to run for a $30K price tag; also like the cut back in distance, albeit on turf.

10 Samurai Assault - Exits 2 mile races so he is cutting back in distance; figures to have some late energy because of it.
