Las Vegas marathon to cause tie-ups for bus service


Bus riders can expect delays on several routes from 1:30 to 11:30 p.m. Sunday because of road closures for the annual Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas Marathon.

The affected routes will not be able to operate on their normal Sunday schedules. Riders using routes with major detours are encouraged to allow themselves extra time to reach their destinations.

The affected routes include the following:

■ Route 104: Valley View Boulevard/Arville Street

■ Route 105: Martin L. King Jr. Boulevard

■ Route 106: Rancho Drive/Centennial Hills Parkway

■ Route 108: Paradise Road

■ Route 109: Maryland Parkway

■ Route 113, Metropolitan Area Express (MAX): Las Vegas Boulevard North

■ Route 119: Simmons Street/Koval Lane

■ Route 201: Tropicana Avenue

■ Route 202: Flamingo Road

■ Route 203: Spring Mountain Road/Desert Inn Road/Lamb Boulevard

■ Route 206: Charleston Boulevard

■ Route 207: Alta Drive/Stewart Avenue

■ Route 208: Washington Avenue

■ Route 209: Vegas Drive/Owens Avenue

■ Route 210: Lake Mead Boulevard

■ Route 214: H Street/D Street

■ Route 215: Bonanza Road

■ Others: Deuce on the Strip, Strip and Downtown Express, Sahara Express, Centennial Express, Westcliff Airport Express, Downtown and Veterans Medical Center Express, Henderson and Downtown Express and Boulder Highway Express.
