Mountain Ridge Little League roster


Larry Quaney coached Mountain Ridge All-Star teams to the West Regional in 2010 and 2013 and has been part of the league for 12 years.

Here is the team that will represent the West at this year’s Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa., with a comment from Quaney on each player:

Dominic Clayton/Utility/“Star in the making. Can play any position on the field.”

Drew LaSpaluto/2B/“Kid has a heart of gold. Very confident. A gamer.”

Alex Barker/OF/“He probably knows the game better than anyone on the team.”

Josh Zuehlsdorff/Utility/“Great utility player. Does well anywhere they play him.”

Josiah Cromwick/C/“Really competes hard. Plays his role very well.”

Brennan Holligan/P, IF/“Throws really hard; great power hitter.”

Payton Brooks/Utility/“A new kid who’s a great utility player.”

Bradley Stone/SS/“Very good player; good hitter; all-around talent.”
