How to watch welterweight Ben Askren’s ONE Championship title fight Friday morning

One of the world’s top mixed martial arts welterweights will be in action early Friday.

Ben Askren will defend his ONE Championship title against Nikolay Aleksakhin in the main event of a card in Manila, Philippines.

The event will not be televised in North America, but is available on pay per view through the organization’s website at http://www.onefc.com/livestream.html.

ONE: Global Rivals is scheduled to begin at 4 a.m. PDT. The cost of the pay per view is $9.99.

Askren, the former Bellator champion and an Olympic wrestler, last officially fought in August 2014 when he improved to 14-0 with a first-round knockout of Nobutatsu Suzuki. A bout against Luis Santos last April was declared a no-contest after Santos couldn’t continue because of an accidental eye poke.

Santos badly missed weight for a scheduled rematch in November, and the fight was canceled.

Askren, 31, was a two-time national wrestling champion at Missouri.

Aleksakhin has won six straight fights, including a submission of Burenzorig Batmunkh in his organizational debut in November.
