New UFC champ Miocic proves to be a heavy hitter outside the cage — VIDEO

Stipe Miocic is a big hit in Cleveland.

After winning the Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight title with a first-round knockout of Fabricio Werdum on Saturday night in Brazil, the Ohio native claimed the championship for his beloved hometown, a downtrodden sports city that is without a world championship in the major sports since 1964.

He spent Tuesday night on a tour of the city’s sports venues with his shiny new belt and displayed some impressive athleticism along the way.

Miocic took batting practice with the Indians and belted a home run on his final swing in the cage.

To be fair, the 33-year-old did play college baseball at both Cleveland State and Trevecca Nazarene University.

Miocic drew thunderous applause later in the evening when he and the belt attended the Cavaliers victory over Toronto in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

He was introduced during a break in the action in the first quarter and riled up the crowd by citing the team’s rallying cry.

“I’m all in, baby,” he yelled into a microphone while wearing a Matthew Dellavedova jersey. “Are you all in?”

Miocic, who still works as a firefighter and paramedic in suburban Cleveland, then led a “Let’s Go Cavs” chant.
