NHL, ECHL players to compete in charity game at Fiesta Rancho

A charity hockey game featuring several past and present NHL and ECHL players will take place at 5:30 p.m. today at the Fiesta Rancho’s Sobe Ice Arena.

Minnesota Wild left wing Jason Zucker — the first person from Nevada to play in the NHL — and Calgary Flames defenseman Deryk Engelland, a former Wranglers player, are expected to take part in the event to benefit the Las Vegas firefighters youth hockey charity.

Former NHL players Eric Lacroix, Stephane Yelle and Randy Burridge are also expected to play, along with former Wranglers Mike Madill, Aaron Power, Eric Lampe, Eddie DelGrosso and Chris Francis, a local product who signed with the Alaska Aces.

Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children (under 12) and can be purchased at the Sobe Ice Arena box office or at lvffyh.com.
