Bryce Harper’s new sports drink commercial is a scream

Bryce Harper’s new commercial for the Fierce style of Gatorade is out, or at least almost out, because you can now see it on YouTube.

It’s 30 seconds long and shows the Las Vegas phenom stepping into the batter’s box dripping Fierce red Gatorade. Some pitcher from the Marlins, dripping Fierce blue Gatorade, grooves one to Harper, and Harper smacks a screaming liner, like in the old Bugs Bunny cartoons.

First, though, he knocks the cover off the ball.

Then when his liner begins to scream, it does so using Harper’s entire face, instead of mostly just a mouth, as in the animated highlights of yesteryear where B. Bunny pitched for the Tea Totallers against the Gashouse Gorillas.

A lot of little kids admire Bryce Harper, but his screaming face might frighten tee ball players, at least ones who don’t play on traveling teams. Most kids who play on traveling teams are more wordly and not easily frightened.
