Dad catches pro baseball player son’s first homer of season

This is a dream come true for any dad — your son plays professional baseball, then, you catch his first home-run of the season.

That’s exactly what happened over the weekend when the Quad-Cities River Bandits played the Cedar Rapids Kernels and River Bandits player Conrad Gregor knocked one out of the park — right to where his dad was standing.

“That was my dad,” Gregor told the Quad-City Times. “It’s a little unbelievable, but I’m glad my parents were here to see it and when I got back to the dugout, I heard he made a pretty good catch.’’

According to the Quad-City Times, Gregor’s parents were visiting the Quad-Cities for the series on a family trip.
