Former 51s outfielder gets pinned under wall — VIDEO

Darin Mastroianni stopped short of running through a wall — as Rodney McCray did in a minor-league game in 1991 — but the former 51s center fielder had part of a wall fall on him after he ran into it trying to make a catch Wednesday for the Syracuse Chiefs, Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals.

While the gritty Mastroianni didn’t make the catch, he managed to toss the ball to his teammate after having the wall come tumbling down on him and remained in the game.
