Nick Johnson’s solution: See no evil

DALLAS — The offensive foul called on Nick Johnson at the end of Arizona’s loss to Wisconsin was one of the most controversial plays of the NCAA Tournament.

Johnson was called for pushing off with his off arm in the closing seconds of a one-point game as the Wildcats were eliminated. The play was shown over and over on all the highlight shows and debated ad nauseum.

By now, just about everyone has seen it.

Johnson has not.

“I just can’t watch it,” he said.

The star guard and Findlay Prep alum said Friday he just couldn’t watch the play that essentially ended the Wildcats hope for a national championship.

The only other person who we can say for sure has never actually watched the play is the referee who made the call.
