Orioles slugger Chris Davis gets 7-year, $161M contract

The Baltimore Orioles and slugger Chris Davis have reached agreement on a seven-year, $161 million deal, multiple media outlets reported Saturday.

The contract includes a full no-trade clause and there is no opt-out in the deal with the first baseman, which is pending a physical, according to MLB.com.

The sides reached an agreement less than two days after the Orioles reportedly were prepared to move on from Davis and had offered Yoenis Cespedes a five-year, $90 million deal.

Cespedes is no longer a consideration for the Orioles with Davis agreeing to re-sign, a source confirmed to ESPN.com.

Davis, 29, filed for free agency after the 2015 season and balked at an earlier offer made by Baltimore reportedly worth about $150 million.

Davis, who has been with the Orioles since 2011, hit 47 home runs with 117 RBIs last year and has 126 homers in the past three seasons.
