Sierra Vista topples Liberty in girls tennis


Danielle Ingwaldson and Danica Ingwaldson each went 3-0 in singles Thursday to help Sierra Vista to an 11-7 win over host Liberty in girls tennis.

Danae Ingwaldson and Riki Aquino went 3-0 in doubles for the Patriots.

At The Meadows, the Mustangs defeated Bonanza 4-2 on a tiebreaker.

Victoria Casper and Priyanka Gaba went 3-0 in doubles to lead the Mustangs. Tiffany Cook was 3-0 in singles for the Bengals.

At Canyon Springs, Jamie Andrade was 2-0 in singles, and the doubles team of Danielle Whittier and Niema Khetnasi went 2-0 to lead Shadow Ridge to a 10-8 win.

Rebecca Breland was 3-0 for the Pioneers.

At Foothill, Danielle Sellinger was 3-0 in singles to lead Durango to a 17-1 win over the Falcons.

At Basic, Amanda Yardley went 2-0 in singles to help the Wolves to a 16-2 win over Mojave.

Megan Feher and Jennilee Medina went 2-0 in doubles for Basic.

At Rancho, the doubles teams of Katie Herbert and Molly Forgey and Alexis Bridges and Beth Ignatiuk each went 3-0 to lead Arbor View to a 14-4 victory over Rancho.

Karina Calderon was 2-1 in singles for Rancho.

At Palo Verde, Christy Urenarde and Gabby Jonnatta both went 2-0 in singles for Coronado in its 12-6 win over the Panthers.

At Legacy, Chelsea Lissick and Danni White went 3-0 in doubles to lead the Longhorns to a 12-6 victory over Valley.

The Vikings' Patrice Mayao was 3-0 in singles.

At Eldorado, Rochelle Casino went 3-0 in singles to lead the Sundevils to a 14-4 win over Tech.

Dyana Sanchez was 2-0 in singles for Eldorado.

At Chaparral, Katie Fisher and Maria Spalla each went 2-0 in singles as Del Sol notched a 15-3 victory over the Cowboys.

Sonya Becker and Tracy Riordan were 2-0 in doubles for the Dragons.

At Cimarron-Memorial, Danica Engstrom went 2-1 in singles, and Cami Fish and Alyssa D'Agostino went 3-0 in doubles to lead Las Vegas to an 11-7 win over the Spartans.

Cimarron's Kate Johnsesse went 3-0 in singles, and Starlyn Thomas and Stephanie Kaplan went 2-1 in doubles for the Spartans.

At Overton, Shaelyn Taber was 3-0 in singles to help Boulder City to a 12-6 victory over Moapa Valley.

Ami Edwards was 2-1 for the Pirates.

At Centennial, Selina Brown and Hannah Barnum each went 2-0 in singles to lead the Bulldogs to a 12-6 triumph over Spring Valley.

The doubles teams of Cierra Ugale and Taylor Englert and Ashly Ryan and Danielle Plecenik also were 3-0 for Centennial.

At Green Valley, Sarah Toti and Anita Lee each went 2-0 in singles as Bishop Gorman posted a 13-5 victory over the Gators.

At Cheyenne, Silverado earned a 12-6 victory over the Desert Shields.

At Canyon Springs, Stan Breland went 3-0 in singles as Pioneers posted a 10-8 win over Shadow Ridge.

The doubles teams of Michael Ford and James Jones and J.T. Washington and Matt Savage each went 2-1 in doubles for Canyon Springs. Todd Corbett and Jacob Trotter went 3-0 in doubles for the Mustangs.

At Liberty, Nick Tso and Braxton Wardle went 3-0 in doubles to lead Sierra Vista to an 11-7 win over the Patriots.

Rap Fopat was 3-0 in singles for Liberty.

At Centennial, Adam Beck and Trevor Newman each went 2-0 in singles as the Bulldogs notched a 14-4 win over Spring Valley.

Dustin Dresel and Anthony Waddle went 3-0 in doubles for Centennial.

At Chaparral, Brian Madrid and Dom Lacala each went 3-0 in singles to lead Del Sol to a 16-2 victory over the Cowboys.

At Green Valley, Andrew Raphaelson and Kyle Del Rosario each went 2-0 in singles to lead Bishop Gorman to a 15-3 victory over the Gators.

Alex Silvestri teamed with Brent Martelli to go 2-0 in doubles play. Silvestri was then joined by Chris Gomez to win their lone doubles set.

Dane Veccitto went 2-1 in singles to lead Green Valley.

At Palo Verde, Hadrian Saperstein and Dillon Berkible each went 2-0 in singles play to lead defending state champions Panthers to a 13-5 win over Coronado.

Zach Wetterling and Spencer Aguair went 2-0 in doubles for Palo Verde.

At Legacy, Joe Horlacher went 3-0 in singles to lead Valley to an 11-7 win over the Longhorns.

At Rancho, Chad Butcher, Neil Anderson and Jeff Schuerman each went 3-0 in singles to lead Arbor View to a sweep of the Rams.

At Eldorado, the doubles team of Apollo Salgado and Manolo Montalvo went 3-0 to help Tech to a 9-8 victory over the Sundevils.

J.C. Pauli and Christian Frehse each went 2-0 in singles for the Roadrunners.

At Cimarron-Memorial, Michael Bysouth and Kris Kaplan each went 3-0 in singles as the Spartans rolled to a 16-2 win over Las Vegas.

The doubles team of Noel Sweeney and Anthony Rainford went 3-0, and Dustin Larson and Ben Sweeney went 2-0 for Cimarron.

At Cheyenne, Brian Estell went 2-0 in singles, and Todd Vincent and Ryan Waddoups went 2-0 in doubles to lead Silverado to a 13-5 win over Cheyenne.

Steve Crofford went 2-1 in singles for the Desert Shields.

At Overton, Evan Ceniceros went 3-0 in singles to lead Boulder City to a 12-6 win over Moapa Valley.

Moapa's doubles team of Chris Hastings and Ryan Bessey went 2-1.

At Clark, the host Chargers rolled to a 17-1 win over Desert Pines.

Jason Wang and Peter Park each went 2-0 in singles, and the doubles teams of Aaron Tsui and Daniel Won, Josh Burns and Jason Gee and Richard Lee and Stephen Lin each went 2-0.

At Foothill, the Falcons posted an 11-7 win over Durango.

Christian Pate was 3-0 in singles for the Trailblazers.

At The Meadows, Bonanza notched a 13-5 victory over the Mustangs.

Jimmy Lovett led The Meadows with a 3-0 singles record.

At Basic, the Wolves breezed to an 18-0 win over Mojave.
