Time lapse shows Orleans Arena go from 3-ring circus to 3-sheet ice rink

Curling’s Continental Cup makes its U.S. debut this week in Las Vegas, bringing dozens of Olympic athletes to the city for the last major curling competition before the Sochi Olympics.

Because this is Las Vegas and not Canada, there wasn’t a ready-made curling rink available. So the Orleans Arena was transformed from a three-ring circus to a three-sheet curling rink over the course of 36 hours.

This year will be the first time the competition has been held outside of Canada.
