UNLV gets five football games on national TV, including vs. UNR

The Battle for the Fremont Cannon and four other UNLV football games will be shown on national TV this season, though all the times and channels haven’t been announced.

The Rebels’ Friday night game at Boise State on Nov. 18 already had been announced as an ESPN2 game that will start at 6 or 6:30 p.m. PT, and four additional UNLV games are part of the Mountain West national TV package that was released Friday by the conference.

All of the latest broadcast selections will be Saturday games. Two of the games will be televised by CBS Sports Network and two will be on ESPN Networks.

UNLV’s home game against Fresno State on Oct. 1 and road game at San Jose State on Oct. 29 will both start at 7:30 p.m. PT and be televised by CBSSN.

The Rebels’ road game at San Diego State on Oct. 8 and regular-season finale at home vs. UNR on Nov. 26 will be shown by an ESPN channel. The specific outlet and kickoff time for each ESPN game will be released as part of the contracted 12-day window. The ESPN Networks include ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNews and ESPN Classic.

TV information for UNLV’s nonconference road games against UCLA on Sept. 10 and Central Michigan on Sept. 17 will be announced in the coming weeks.
