UNLV enters Friday’s 7:30 p.m. football game at Arizona as a 24-point underdog, so it would be easy to dismiss the Rebels’ season opener as a sure loss. But even if the Rebels lose as expected, if they can at least be competitive, this game could be one to build upon. They have lots of goals this season, such as returning to a bowl, and the opener will provide insight into whether those hopes are realistic.
