US 95 lanes near Charleston reopen after truck spill

A spill Thursday morning on southbound U.S. Highway 95 near Charleston Boulevard has been cleaned up and all lanes are open.

A dump truck dropped its load in the two right lanes of the highway about 8:30 a.m., according to Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Jason Buratczuk.

The truck was not gradually spilling its contents, Buratczuk said. For unknown reasons, the truck emptied its entire contents onto the road.

The Nevada Department of Transportation and Freeway Service Patrol cleaned up the spill and the lanes reopened about 11 a.m.
