Drunk job applicant stabs boss during interview, police say

San Diego, CA — A job interview in El Cajon ended early after the applicant allegedly attacked the interviewer Monday afternoon, police said.

El Cajon police said a job applicant appeared to be drunk during a job interview.

The applicant became angry with the interviewer when asked about possibly being drunk and a fight broke out, according to police.

The interviewer was stabbed in the arm before the suspect ran away, investigators said. The victim was treated at Sharp Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

Police used information on the suspect’s job application to track him down at his home near the 400 block of Manhattan. He was taken to San Diego County jail, police said.

He faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
