Fallen police dog receives full honors funeral

The K-9 unit dog who was fatally stabbed during a police altercation in Oklahoma City received full honors in a funeral ceremony last week.

According to today.com, “Kye’s partner since serving on the police department’s K-9 unit, Sgt. Ryan Stark, shed tears and expressed a final farewell to the dog before his flag-draped coffin was buried and the canine was given out a 21-gun salute.”

Over 1,000 officers and dozens of police dogs were in attendance.
