Giant lightning bolt strikes church — VIDEO

It’s as if Thor himself decided to visit this church in Maine. Warning: it gets incredibly loud.

Uploaded by Carl Bouley, the video was filmed across the street from St. Gerard Church in Grand Isle, Maine.

After only a few seconds filming the storm, lightning strikes the church with an amazing amount of force.

The entire scene looks like something pulled straight out of a superhero movie.

Impressively, the church only suffered minor damage. A few shingles fell off the roof and a couple of wires fried.

According to the Weather Channel, this is the second time the church has been struck by lightning, the first being in 2007.
