Caesars Palace was built at a critical time for Las Vegas when the Strip was making a name for itself in gambling and entertainment. The 1950s saw a lot of the city's development and growth and the '60s saw twice that.
August 5th marked the 49th birthday of the luxury hotel-casino. Caesars Palace went from a stand-out 700-room hotel-casino to a world-renowned, multi-tower icon with almost 4,000 rooms.
