Inmate files lawsuit against Tenn. couple who won Powerball jackpot

Weeks after a Tennessee couple announced they held one of three winning Powerball tickets for the $1.6 billion drawing, they are now being sued by an inmate.

According to KFOR, Jonathan Lee Riches, also known as Jihadi Schitz, has handwritten a lawsuit against the Multistate Lottery Commission, Powerball and the couple, Lisa and John Robinson, for what he believes is his share of the Powerball winnings.

In the full complaint, Riches is requesting an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order against the Robinson family and a full “congressional investigation” into the matter.

Riches’ lawsuit claims he is actually the true winner of the Powerball fortune because he allegedly sent $20 from his prison trust fund to the couple’s daughter, Tiffany, and told her to give the money to her parents so they could buy lottery tickets.

Without the money from his prison trust fund, Riches says the family couldn’t have afforded to purchase the lottery tickets.

As Fox 13 Memphis reports, Riches alleges the Robinson family promised to give him half the winnings if they hit the jackpot. He also claims that Tiffany planned to marry him and they were going to move to a “remote island full of milk and honey.”

However, in his lawsuit, Riches notes that he now feels Tiffany “canned and bamboozled me and manipulated my love for $20 and sold me out. Now she is running to the bank laughing at me while I collect crumbs.”

Although most of the lawsuits have been dismissed, this isn’t the first time Riches has filed an unusual lawsuit.

Previously, Riches has attempted to sue George W. Bush, Steve Jobs, Britney Spears and the New England Patriots.
