Lady Rebels fall to Bowling Green

The UNLV women's basketball team succumbed to Bowling Green's 3-point barrage, losing 64-54 in the consolation game of the Lady Rebel Round-Up on Sunday at Cox Pavilion.

Bowling Green hit 12 3-pointers, including eight in the first half, when it stretched the lead to as much as 13 before UNLV rallied to make it 35-29 at halftime. Down 35-33 early in the second half, the Lady Rebels (2-4) had a chance to tie or take the lead, but the Falcons (3-2) responded with a 13-0 run.

Alana Cesarz led UNLV with 17 points, and Kelli Thompson had 13 points and nine rebounds.
