UNLV volleyball's hot streak foiled by San Diego State

The UNLV volleyball team rallied but had its 4-0 start in Mountain West Conference play halted at San Diego State, losing 26-24, 25-21, 21-25, 21-25, 15-10 on Sunday. Katlin Winters had 13 kills for the Rebels (12-6, 4-1 MWC), and Kinsey Caldwell had 51 assists.

■ MEN'S SOCCER - UNLV men's soccer team outshot San Jose State 31-4, but lost 2-1 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match at Johann Memorial Field. Julian Portugal scored on a penalty kick in the 81st minute for the Rebels (4-8-1, 1-2 MPSF).
