Tara Carbone is set to perform in the Broadway national touring company production of Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical,” in New York City.

The musical runs Nov. 19 through Dec. 29 in various cities.

Carbone, a 2008 graduate of Bishop Gorman High School, was active in her high school theater program, starring in several productions.

She also performed in “Gaels” on Broadway and was named Vocal Student of the Year in 2008.

She was a varsity cheerleader and sang the national anthem when Gorman’s Fertitta Field opened in the fall of 2007.

Carbone is a 2012 graduate of the musical theater program at Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y., where she played Myhrinne in “Lysistrata” and appeared in “The Jungle Book.”

She performed in the Syracuse stage production of the musical version of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.”

Last year, Carbone starred as Angelina Ballerina in the off-Broadway musical, “Angelina Ballerina’s Very Merry Holiday Musical.”

She acted in ABC Entertainment’s annual Upfront, on location at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center.

Carbone is the daughter of Frank and Carlene Carbone of Las Vegas.

Andrew Ferraro has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

Ferraro is the son of Vincent Ferraro of Drums, Pa., and Barbara Cullison of Las Vegas.

Suzanne De La Vega-Juarez has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

A 2008 graduate of Liberty High School in Henderson, De La Vega-Juarez is the daughter of Jacqueline De La Vega of Las Vegas.

Kristian Reyes has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

A 2011 graduate of Desert Oasis High School, Reyes is the son of Pamela Reyes of Las Vegas.

Tyler Lawrence has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

A 2012 graduate of Veterans Tribute Career and Technical Academy, Lawrence is the son of Christy Lawrence of North Las Vegas.

Jesse Hehn has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

A 2010 graduate of Lake Mead Christian Academy, Hehn is the son of Theresa Hehn of Henderson.

Echo Congdon and Brandarius Johnson, both of Las Vegas, received merit scholarships to attend Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo., for the fall 2013 semester.

Congdon received the Freshman Tuition Merit Scholarship. His major is engineering.

Johnson received the Transfer Student Tuition Merit Scholarship. His major is sociology/human services.

Courtney Downes of North Las Vegas has received a certificate of residency in emergency medicine from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan.

Shane Reavely has graduated from Army basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

Reavely is the son of Paula Reavely of Henderson.

Mark Kruthaupt has graduated from Army basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga.

A 2011 graduate of Cimarron-Memorial High School, Kruthaupt is the son of John and Fabiola Kruthaupt of Las Vegas.

Steven Bolton has been named to the dean’s list at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minn., for the spring 2013 semester.

Bolton, a junior, is the son of Sue Bolton of Las Vegas.

Stephanie Graham has been named to the dean’s list at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minn.

Graham, a senior, is the daughter of Stephen Graham of Henderson.
