INSERT COIN(S) TO HELP THE CENTER RAISE FUNDS

The Center recently announced that a series of fundraising events are set to be hosted by Insert Coin(s), 512 Fremont St.

Insert Coin(s) is also set to donate games and consoles for the recreational space at The Center, 401 S. Maryland Parkway.

ENROLLMENT ASSISTANCE TO BE AVAILABLE FOR AFFORDABLE CARE ACT

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is partnering with AARP to provide information and enrollment sessions at several libraries for the Affordable Care Act, commonly called Obamacare.

A session is scheduled at 2 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Las Vegas Library, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North, where enrollment assistance is set to be available.

TOUR OF DEMONSTRATION GARDENS SCHEDULED

A free walking tour of the Demonstration Gardens is scheduled at 10 a.m. Oct. 12 and Nov. 9 at the Lifelong Learning Center, 8050 Paradise Road.

The grounds are also open for self-guided tours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

TAVERN TO CELEBRATE BIKE RACK

An unveiling party for a bike rack is scheduled at 7 p.m. Oct. 4 at the Huntridge Tavern, 1116 E. Charleston Blvd.

The event is set to include free food and drink specials and is organized by the Huntridge Foundation, an organization aimed at preserving the architectural integrity, history and culture of the Huntridge Theatre and the surrounding community.

REGISTRATION PLANNED FOR ARTS CLASSES

Registration is planned for classes at two local arts centers.

Sign-ups for classes at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St., is open through Oct. 26. Six-week classes are set to run from Oct. 26 to Dec. 19.
