Back to School Health Fairplanned for Aug. 1

A Back to School Health Fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 1 at Southwest Medical Flamingo Health Center, 5580 W. Flamingo Road. In observance of National Immunization Awareness Month, Southwest Medical is offering free immunizations and sports physicals for children and high school students.

Sportz Foundation set to hold youths physical and heart screening event

The LV Sportz Foundation and the Glen Lerner Gives Back program are set to hold their quarterly free sports physical and heart screening event for youths 10 to 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 25 at the American Institute of Medical Sonography, 2310 Paseo Del Prado, Suite A-120. WestCare to hold donation drive

WestCare Nevada has teamed up with community partners Crazy Pita and Nevada Title Company for a Christmas in July Drive, set to benefit the women and children at the nonprofit’€™s Women and Children’€™s Campus. The drive runs through July 31. Residents are asked to donate new and unwrapped baby items, including toys, blankets and clothing, as well as women's clothing and new toiletries, at donation boxes inside any three of the valley'€™s Crazy Pita restaurants or at a Nevada Title Company office branch location. Breastfeeding resource fair planned Aug. 8

The Southern Nevada Breastfeeding Coalition is planning Naturally Nurturing: A Breastfeeding Resource Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd. The event is free for pregnant and new moms, along with grandparents and kids, Nurturing Naturally is in an indoor, air-conditioned area and includes a pumping/back to work education session, infant CPR and infant massage.
