“Dishing It Out 2016 — Vanity Plates”: The election-themed art exhibit is set to be open during regular library hours through July 24 at the Sahara West Library, 9600 W. “Ancient Rome — The Empire that Shaped the World”: The traveling summer exhibit is set to be on display at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, 900 Las Vegas Blvd. North, through Sept. 11. Visitors will take a hands-on journey through the Roman Imperial period, exploring military war machines, significant construction inventions such as pottery wheels and grinding mills, large-scale technical innovations such as cranes, water pumps and more.
