This small bakery has all your favorite doughnuts and muffins, along with several sandwiches that make it a perfect one-stop shop on your way to work. Breakfast sandwiches, such as the egg and cheese on bagel or croissant, can be customized with turkey, ham or bacon. Sit with a cup of coffee and enjoy oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar. At lunch, have a ham or turkey sandwich with Provolone or American cheese (request lettuce, tomato, onion) on white, wheat, rye, croissant or 7-inch sub roll. Inside the pastry case are doughnuts (glazed, coconut, peanut, old-fashion, chocolate cake, maple, chocolate Long Johns, cinnamon twist), brownies, black and white cookies, cinnamon rolls, apple fritters, bear claws, Danish (cheese, apple, cherry) and muffins such as blueberry, banana nut, chocolate chip, coffee cake and lemon poppy seed. Below the doughnuts are breads including white, wheat and challah egg bread. The daily special is choice of doughnut, bagel, Danish or muffin with a coffee for $1.50. Doughnuts start at 85 cents, and breakfast sandwiches begin at $2.99. Bakery King is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
