The Age of Disruption: A pair of events concerning Alzheimer’s disease and dementia is scheduled March 30 at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 McLeod Drive. A documentary by the director of “Alive Inside,” followed by a community engagement workshop designed for people living with dementia and carepartners, is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. and a nonfiction theatrical performance featuring original music, storytelling, poetry and insights on aging and care by aging expert Dr. Bill Thomas and musical guest Nate Silas Richardson is scheduled from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 per event. Glass Craft & Bead Expo: The 21st annual event is planned from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 1 and 2 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 3 at the South Point, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The event will offer nearly 150 booths and 70 tabletops, as well as demonstrations in flameworking and other glass art techniques. Call for musicians: The nonprofit Las Vegas Young Artists Orchestra is seeking applications for its new Academy Orchestra program for youths 15 or younger who show significant potential. The free program will welcome up to 50 new students who will work alongside internationally recognized guest artists and perform regularly throughout the year. The application deadline is April 8.
