Civil War experience: Guests can try on Civil War uniforms and learn to march and drill in formation with input from historic re-enactors at 10 a.m. May 28 and June 25 at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, 6375 state Route 159, about 10 miles west of the 215 Beltway. At 1 p.m. May 28, visitors can also step back in time with a visit to the porch of the ranch’s sandstone cabin where a ranger plans to do dutch oven cooking and firearms demonstrations.
